Hi — I'm Nathan, and this is the first devlog for Legend of the Ultimate Dragon (LOUD), the first game from my studio, Realm Creation Studios. Let's start with the honest pitch: this is a tribute to Legend of the Red Dragon and the wave of BBS door games that came with it — Usurper, TradeWars, MajorMUD, the whole lineage. If you ever dialed into a board after school just to check your fights before your daily turns ran out, this one's for you.
I'm not making that up for marketing. When I was thirteen, in Montgomery, Alabama, I ran my own bulletin board system — Realms BBS — on a stack of VBBS software and a modem my dad wished I'd use less. I named it Realms because it was a place you'd enter to play games from a dozen different worlds. Years later, the studio is named Realm Creation Studios for the same reason, except now I'm the one building the realms. LOUD is the first one.
Here's the part I keep coming back to. Every run in LOUD is 30 days. You wake up, you decide what to do with the day — fight in the Wilds, train, spend time with people in town, chase a romance, save your gold or blow it — and then the day ends whether you were ready or not. LORD's quiet genius was making a handful of daily choices feel like they mattered, because you couldn't take them back. That's the design I'm protecting above everything else: no infinite grinding, no do-overs. Thirty days, and whatever you make of them.
Attached is the main menu — the first thing you'll see when you sit down for a run. The town's waiting, the clock's already ticking, and there's something underneath all of it that remembers you. More on that another time.

What's next: I'm heads-down on combat and the class systems right now — three playable classes, each with their own path through the 30 days. I'll have something to show soon.
